Some time ago I have been invited to the 3rd International bonsai and kusamono exhibition which was held this past weekend in Hallein, near Salzburg, Austria. The exhibition was once again located in an abandoned salt storage on an island on the Salzach river. There were over 100 bonsai exhibitted, meny kusamomo and suiseki to be seen and lots of trader stands with various items to choose from.

I decided to bring 5 trees with me this time. My big 'Itoigawa' juniper, my Cornus mas, an Euonymous verrucosa and my shohin white pine and 'Chojubai' together in a composition.
Tokrat sem s seboj pripeljal 5 dreves. Moj veliki 'Itoigawa' brin, rumeni dren, bradavičasto trdolesko, ter shohin beli bor in japonsko marelico, katera sem razstavil v skupni kompoziciji.
My friend Jože, with whom I visited the exhibition, was exhibitting for the first time. He chose a Fagus sylvatica which he has for more then 5 years and on which we have been working on for more then 3 years now. It was exhibitted without any wire.
Great job!
This sure is an exhibition to which I will gladly return.
