Yew from Seeboden

I got this yew last year, in 2007 on a workshop in Seeboden, Austria, where I allso gawe it the first styling.

Sadly I don't have the photo from the begining. This is how it was after the first styling.

This spring I made this virtual.

And yesterday I started to work on the design from the virtual.

The final result for now.

Size comperrison

So it begins

So, the season for digging up some tree species has com. Today I and my father went in the mounteins looking for some yamadoris. We came home with full hands of them.

The jin on a juniper yamadori

This juniper is actually a ''urban yamadori'', because I dug it out by our neighbours this spring. Today I decidet to make some jins. Wireing and bending and so on will come next spring. This will be a hard nut to crack, but I don't worry a bit.
(The jins that I made now aren't totally finished yet.)

My first olive tree

I present you the story of an olive tree (olea europea).
I have this tree for about one year now. I bought it at the EBA this year in Vienna, Austria. I styled it is spring at a workshop with Vaclav Novak, that was at the bonsai exhibition in Ljubljana, Slovenia this year.
