Ofcourse, in the time of the exhibition, some demonstrations took place . The main demonstrators were a Spanierd David Benevente, American Boon Manakitivipart and the allwayspresent Walter Pall.
This weekend me and my bonsaifriends haded to the Noelanders trophy XI. It was my first time to go to this exhibit and I must say it impressed me. This exshibition somehow steped in for the dead Gonkgo award.
The building where everything took place.
But this exhibit was special allso for our Slovenian bonsai club because there was exhibited a slovenian bonsai, for the very first time: Rajko Podgornik Reš and a white pine.
Some of the exhibited trees.
My personal favorit, that sadly didn't get any prize - a weeping birch.
I allso got involved in a conversation with the everintertaining Tony Tickle. We said some words about his hawthorn.
There were 25 dofferent salestands.
The overall winner, that allso wan the lastyear's Bonsaiautumn prize in Switcherland: a chineese juniper from Enrico Savini and Fabio Mantovani
Next weekend I am hadding to Belgium with some of my bonsai friends. The annual Noelanders trophy is held every year in Heusden Zolder in Belgium. Definately worth a visit. That will be the main location of my trip. But I intend to go elsewhere.
Theese days I finally found some time for making me some new stands for my accent plants. First I took a wooden plate, cut from a branch and woorked in it with a grinder.
Then I gave it some color.
And last I coated it with oil to give it a nice shine.
