Plans for the future

Because there is no other work to do I was making some drawings and plans for a few trees.
I can't wait for spring to come.

Prunus mume

In these winter months there's not much going one. Actually there is nothing going one, moste of the trees are under the snow and resting. That is the reason for me not posting anything on my blog recently.
Well, while all bonsai are resting, my prunus mume shohin is getting ready to flower.

I'll post the pics when the flowers are fully developed.

After another day of snowing

Time for snow again

Another year has come around and the first snow of the season is falling as we speak. The trees are resting, so there is little work. But this time of the year is a good opurtunnity for taking some nice photos.

Collector's pot

I afforded myself a very special collector's pot by Walsall studio ceramics. It is one of just 100 and will take a special place in my showcase.

Sakka Ten - Padova

The last bigger exhibit of this year has go by. It was the Sakka Ten, organized every two years. The last one was in Brixen where the organizatoin was better by far.
The big star was once again the world known Japanese master Kunio Kobayashi.

Matej and wild charries

Yesterday I paid a visit to my bonsai buddy Matej in Ljubljana.I must say he gave me a plesend surprise with his yamadori collection . In a few years he will surelly have one of the best collections in Slovenia. ;)



But today it was time for searching some wild cherries - prunus mahaleb. We found quite a few which will be dug outh next spring.

Last club workshop of the year

Today was the day forour last club workshop of 2010. And so quite a lot of us members gathered in Radeče, where Bojan and his friends took care for a good spot and atmosphere.
I had no tree with me this time so I spent the day as an instructor and comentator.

White-frost

The temperatures get lower by the day. In the morning we already have white-frost and soon there will be snow.
